On July 22-28, our youth mission team will be traveling to the mountains of southeastern Kentucky to complete home repair and other projects for families in need. During their trip, our students will also be engaging in leadership and team building. Please pray for our 26 students and 7 adult leaders as they serve and lead for the week. You can follow all of their adventures right here on their blog, so check back.

Mission Team Update: 6/13
Hey Mission Team Members and Parents,
Thanks to all of you who were able to join us for our last mission team training session. For those of you who missed, we had all of the students fill out a little info card. This year, we are going to have Trinity members sponsor each of the students. They will put together a trip care package and notes of encouragement for each of you. This is another way for the church to connect with us.
Here is the info from the card:

Why are you on the team?
Some updated info that I can share (with you is that we will be staying in Wilmore in a dormitory with bunk beds. You will not need to bring air mattresses. Unfortunately, one of our team leaders, Mark Buzby will no longer able to be on our team, so we will be looking for another male adult leader to take his place. Please pray that we find a replacement for Mark.
If you could email me back the answers at your earliest convenience, or see me for the card to fill out, I would appreciate it.
Just a reminder, on July 16 (3rd Monday) we will have our final mission team meeting with both parents and students expected to attend. We will be going over final details of our trip, so we'd like student and a parent to be in attendance.
I am compiling service and fundraiser hours for team members, so I will let you know what each of you still owes for hours and your trip balance and will email each of you. I am in communication with Adventure Serve and hoping to get details for our home repair project soon, so I can let all of you know what tools we will need to supply for our group and from each of you individually.

Team Update: Road Cleanup and Tool Training
Hey Mission Team Members and Parents. Thanks again to all who participated in our 30 Hour Famine and helped us reach our goal of $15,000. Money is still coming in and we are just about at $17,000. There was an article about our team in The Mullica Sun. If you didn't get a chance to read it, check it out here.
This Saturday is our final service project and fundraiser. We are cleaning up a county road. Team members will receive service hours plus part of the money that we receive from the county. We will meet at the church at 8:30am and return at 11:30am. Please bring a bottle of water and dress appropriately for doing road cleanup. Please sign up here if you will be able to join us. Parents are welcome to join us as well. Deadline for signing up is tomorrow, Thursday.
On Monday, we will have our next mission team training night. We are going to meet at Stetsonland, 255 Jessups Mill Rd., Clarksboro. For those that want to come early at 6:30, there will be free pizza and then we will get started with the power tool training with Stetson at 7. We will finish at 8:30pm. If you are not able to join us, or you will not be able to make it for pizza, please let me know.
After this weekend, I will start looking over our fundraising numbers for the year as well as the students' participation and will contact each family to let you know how much money is still owed for you teen.
Spring Cleanup Recap and 30 Hour Famine Update
Thanks to everyone who helped serve at our Spring Cleanup last Saturday. We raised $700 for our team, which will be divided among those that served. Our last fundraiser for our team will be the county road cleanup on Saturday, May 12.
Our next team training is Monday, May 14.
We've reached $7,000 for our 30 Hour Famine. Only $8,000 to go. Keep up the good work! For anyone who is having a tough time raising funds, we have openings after all 3 services this Sunday to sit at our Famine table in the narthex. Our students who worked the table this past Sunday collected around $80-$125 each just for sitting at a table for 25 minutes. Up to 2 students can sit at the table at a time. Let me know if you're able to help us out.

April 27-28 30 Hour Famine
Our annual 30 Hour Famine event is coming April 27–28. During the famine, we will participate in activities and Bible study, stay overnight at the church, and take part in service projects. Our team goal this year is $15,000. Students are required to raise a minimum of $150 prior to the Famine to participate, but may set individual fundraising goals (In order to meet the $15K goal, we would need to average around $450 each if that will help).
To join our team, we ask that you register online here. Follow directions to set up your own page, email friends and family, and start raising funds. If you have any questions, please let me know. For more info about the Famine, including parent release form, download our Famine packet here. All mission team members are expected to participate in this event, so if you have a schedule conflict or concerns about raising funds, please let me know.
