Sunghyuk Kim
lead Pastor
Rev. Sunghyuk Kim is an Ordained Elder in Full Connection serving in the Greater New Jersey Conference of the United Methodist Church. He is a third-generation Methodist pastor who has a deep and committed faith in Jesus Christ. He holds an M.Div. from Drew University Theological School (Madison, NJ) and a B.Th. from Methodist Theological University (Seoul, South Korea). Rev. Kim served most recently as Associate Pastor of Trinity UMC (Mullica Hill, NJ). He has previously served as Lead Pastor of Wesley UMC (Edison, NJ) and as Assistant Pastor of Arcola Korean UMC (Paramus, NJ). Sunghyuk is married to his wife Joy, and they share a mutual love for music, singing, and serving God's church together as partners. His passion lies in energizing and enhancing the vibrancy of local churches through community outreach and making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Debbie Rollins
Administrative Assistant / Business Administrator
Debbie Rollins received her Bachelor's degree in Education from West Chester University. She taught 3rd and 4th grades for 14 years. Married to Ray, Debbie finds joy in family life, cherishing moments with their two children, Chase and Colette. Since 2013, the Rollins family has been active members of Trinity UMC, contributing to the church's vibrant community through their involvement and support. Debbie's passion for supporting others extends beyond her professional responsibilities, as she fosters a welcoming and supportive environment at Trinity UMC. Her dedication and warm spirit are evident in every aspect of her service to the congregation.
Joy Son
Worship Specialist / Lead organist
Joy grew up in a Methodist pastoral family in South Korea. She believes worship is central to the Christian faith, and congregational song is the heartbeat of church life. Joy holds a Master of Arts in Theology and Ministry from Drew University Theological School in Madison, NJ, and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Before joining Trinity UMC, she served as the Music Specialist at Bridgewater UMC in Bridgewater, NJ. Joy's profound passion for music spans piano, keyboard, organ, and cello, which she channels into her dedicated ministry at Trinity UMC, where she strives to offer her utmost to God.
Tamah Freni
Director of music ministry
Tamah Freni received her B.M. in Music Education from Westminster Choir College in 1994, where she studied conducting under Constantina Tsolainou and James Jordan, and sang under the batons of Joseph Flummerfelt, Riccardo Muti, and Robert Shaw. Since then, she has been teaching music in Camden County schools. Tamah resides in Gloucester Township with her husband Jason, three children, and their two rescue dogs.
Lauren Salber
DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN’S AND FAMILY MINISTRY
In her spare time, Lauren enjoys the outdoors, being amongst those she loves, cooking, and trying new places to eat. She currently works full-time as the Director of Free to Be Me Preschool in Mullica Hill. Lauren has worked with children throughout her entire working career. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and is currently pursuing her master’s in Social Work online. For most of her life, she has lived in New Jersey, however, she has also lived in Pennsylvania and Alabama. Trinity United Methodist Church has been a part of Lauren’s life since she was a child.
Mike Ralph
DIRECTOR of Youth Ministry (Interim)
Mike Ralph returns to serve part-time as our interim Director of Youth Ministry. He formerly served for 8 1/2 years as full-time youth director and communications at Trinity. In 2019, he left Trinity to pursue other opportunities and currently works full-time as a building-based substitute teacher at South Harrison Elementary School. Mike graduated from Asbury College with a bachelor’s degree in English, and he graduated from Georgetown College with a master’s degree in Education. Mike is also a freelance graphic designer, and in his free time, he enjoys hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, and collecting vinyl records. He resides in Pitman with his wife Faith, their daughter, Ella, and their son, Ezra.
